One of the biggest draws of the Grand Canyon adventure are the hikes along the trails. The hiking trails on the North Rim can provide a serene walk among nature while the day hikes along the South Rim are bustling with beauty along the storied Hermit Road. Slide Rock State Park has made the Travel Channel's list of "10 Top Swimming Holes in the United States." Sedona's red rocks form the "ultimate water slide." The channel compiled the list for its new series, "Top Secret Swimming Holes."
Situated below an apple orchard and surrounded by the red rocks of Sedona's Oak Creek, Slide Rock is 80 feet long and 2.5 to 4 feet wide, with a seven percent decline from top to bottom. Algae on the rocks creates the slippery ride.

Hikers and bikers simply can’t wait to take on some (or all) of the trails known as “Sedona’s Secret 7”. So named for the seven almost secretly hidden gorgeous trails that criss-cross the area, each trail is unique in length, level of difficulty, and memorable sights to be seen. What with over 300 miles of trails in the area, enthusiasts may enjoy picking and choosing which routes look best for them.

Hotel Elev8 is located off I-40 and is 1.5 miles to downtown, 3 miles from the Lowell Observatory and 5 miles from the Wupatki National Monument. The Grand Canyon is less than a two hour drive and beautiful Sedona is less than an hour!
